After graduating from Portland’s Lincoln High School and Stanford University, Cherie lived in Spain for three years before resettling in the Portland area.

As a stay-at-home mom prior to beginning her real estate career, she did volunteer work for OMSI, the RED CROSS, and the Symphony Association.

Cherie has been a full-time licensed REALTOR since 1973. She earned her Broker's license in 1976, and subsequently, the coveted CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) designation, as one of only 4% of all real estate agents nationwide. She has studied architecture and interior design, and feels we each need a nurturing home environment in which to rest, enjoy our families, friends, hobbies, studies, and work...a home within our budget, in a desirable geographic, educational, cultural, and economic area, as requested by the buyer.

Cherie’s commitment is to work with honesty, integrity, and professionalism. She continues to keep up-to-date technologically in order to best serve her buyers by finding homes that meet their needs, and sellers, by marketing their homes with inviting pictures and information sent worldwide over the internet, in flyers, through advertising and open houses. She keeps her clients updated with the latest market data on a daily basis, by phone, e-mail, visits to their homes, or meetings in her office.

Her primary volunteer work within the REALTOR community is on the Professional Standards Committee, where her motivation for serving is her compassion for her own clients and their real estate needs. Cherie pays thorough attention to every detail of each transaction in order to keep it running smoothly and worry-free for her home buyers and sellers. She feels it is her responsibility to encourage other REALTORS, through the Professional Standards Committee, to be ethical and professional with their clients as well.

Approximately 90% of Cherie’s business comes by referral from past clients, or is repeat business from those to whom she has sold homes who now want to sell and move to different ones. She works well with all ages...young, old, and in-between.

Cherie met her husband, Jerry, when they were learning to fly airplanes, and for years they have been a solid real estate team. Jerry has been a licensed broker and taught broker classes to real estate agents. Cherie continues to work directly with clients, and Jerry keeps her company when she holds open houses. It's a perfect match!
